Generic Cialis Soft Tablets Drug Class and Mechanism
Generic Cialis or Tadalafil Soft Tabs is a Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor. Phosphodiesterase is the substance that destroys cyclic guanosine monophosphate or cGMP. Precautions
- Before using this drug, tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies (especially drug allergies), penis conditions such as fibrosis/scarring (e.g., Peyronie's disease), history of painful/prolonged erection (priapism), sickle cell anemia, blood system cancers (such as leukemia or myeloma), eye problems (retina diseases), kidney or liver disease, bleeding disorders, active stomach ulcers, heart disease, stroke, very high or low blood pressure.
- Limit alcohol intake, as it may aggravate side effects of this drug. Since this drug may cause dizziness, caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness (e.g., driving). To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. This drug is not to be used by women or children. The elderly may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug; therefore caution is advised in this group.
- Tadalafil Soft Tabs cannot be used along nitrate-based drugs such as nitroglycerin, nitroprusside, and isosorbide. Recreational drugs containing nitrates doesn't work well with Cialis. Examples of these drugs are Nitrostat, Monoket, Sorbitrate, Nitro-Dur, Isodril, and Imdur, among others.
- Certain anti-fungal medicines like Ketoconazole and Itraconazole can't be combined with Cialis Soft as well. The same is true with macrolide antibiotics like erythromycin and clarithromycin.
- Patients who are taking medicines for the heart and for blood pressure maintenance are advised not to consume Tadalafil Soft. Examples of blood pressure drugs are bendrofluazide and hydrochlorothiazide.
- Alpa blockers such as doxazosin, alfuzosin, terazosin, and prazosin are commonly given to patients with heart conditions. These drugs don't work along with Tadalafil Soft well. The drugs taken by HIV patients, more particularly indinavir and ritonavir cannot be combined as well.
Overdose
People are advised not to take Tadalafil Soft more than once a day. The risk of running overdose is more likely to people who use Cialis Soft before every sexual activity. Doctors usually require a 24 to 36 hours interval between pills. If Cialis Soft is taken more than prescribed, back and muscles pains would develop. There are also a number of people who complain of blurred and abnormal vision.
It is never necessary to make up for a missed dose of this drug. Cialis Soft should not be taken on a regular basis but only when necessary. To properly enjoy the benefits of the drug, strictly adhere your doctor's orders all the time.
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe dizziness, fainting, or prolonged erection.
Side effects
Common side effects of Tadalafil Soft Tabs are headache, nausea, flushing, heartburn, stomach upset, back pains, runny nose, and vision changes. These are mild side effect, but it is still best to inform your doctor about it so that they can make the necessary adjustments.

Storage
Store Tadalafil Soft Tabs at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Keep it out of the reach of children. Tadalafil Soft should be taken at room temperature, preferably at 77 degrees Fahrenheit or 25 degrees Celsius. Keep it away from children's reach.
Make sure that it is placed in its original container and is tightly closed after each use. Elements such as light and heat may affect the effectiveness of the drug.
