Erectile Dysfunction is more common than you think.
Many men suffer from erectile dysfunction and feel ashamed, even embarrassed, about their situation. They are embarrassed to talk to their doctor and sharing the information with friends is even less likely. Men feel as if they are all alone in a world of viral men who have no problems whatsoever achieving an erection and maintaining it throughout intercourse. However, millions of men around the globe suffer from erectile dysfunction and it really is more common than you ever imagined.
Unfortunately, all those men out there who believe they are all alone with their erectile dysfunction set themselves up for emotional failure. If their equipment isn’t working properly then they feel they are less of a man, husband, provider, father, friend, etc., and their personal relationships begin to fail. Divorces, break ups, and tension are all results of men who suffer from this problem and never discuss treatment of their problem with a doctor.
Fortunately, erectile dysfunction can be treated and many times it is as simple as finding the cause behind the ED like diabetes, alcoholism, or even stress. On rare occasions there is no direct cause, but prescription drugs work well to treat the disorder.
Almost all men will deal with erectile dysfunction at some point in their lives, usually beginning in the 40s and occurring at any point thereafter. Some men will have periodic problems while others have chronic problems. The important thing to realize is that almost all men have issues with this situation at some point in their lives. So, there is absolutely no reason to be ashamed and no excuse whatsoever not to seek treatment.
Keep in mind as well that erectile dysfunction does not just affect the man; it also affects the woman in the relationship. Many men enjoy active sex lives, and then as soon as one episode of ED occurs they become embarrassed to try and make love out of fear of letting their partner down. This results in the woman feeling unattractive and wondering what she did to cause her mate to stop making love to her. You can see the chain reaction here. So, if you suffer from ED, whether sporadically or chronically, be open and honest about it with your partner and with your doctor. When everyone is aware of the situation treatment will be more successful and your mate will be understanding and more sensitive to the situation. Not to mention before than willing to help you get back on track.
Never feel as if you are all alone in a world of men who have great erections every time they want to. That’s just not the way the world works, or male human bodies for that matter. Erections don’t always occur when men want them to, and even then they don’t last as long as one might have hoped. Some men may find getting an erection at all a problem sometimes. Just remember erectile dysfunction happens to all men, you are not alone, and treatment can help you get your love life back on track.
