Cialis is brand name for Tadalafil
Cialis is a brand name for a drug known as Tadalafil (Generic Cialis). The drug is similar to the better known Viagra (sidenafil) and Levitra (Vardenafil) which are categorized as phophodiesterase inhibitors. The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) first approved Cialis for use in the United States on the 21 November 2003 specifically for the treatment of the inability to develop and sustain an erection. Currently tadalafil is undergoing trials as a possible treatment to other illnesses.
Cialis is taken orally; the pills are available in 5, 10 or 20 mg doses. The recommended dose of in the majority of men is 10mg, though this can be changed depending on its effectiveness. It should be taken before sexual activity. phophodiesterase inhibitors such as Cialis work by helping relax muscles around the penis, which in turn allows blood to flow into the penis more easily inducing and allowing the user to maintain an erection. Cialis should not be taken more than once daily.
Cialis can be found widely online. Various websites offer Cialis and similar drugs fairly cheaply and you can’t go a day without getting an advert for Cialis or Viagra in your junk e-mail folder.
What’s particularly interesting about Cialis and what sets it apart from its competitors in the market is that it can work up to 36 hours after the pill is taken, as a result it has been fittingly nicknamed “the weekend pill.”
There are possible side effects to Cialis. During its trial period taladafil was administered to approximately 15,000 men, the most common adverse side effects were headaches and indegestion, aches, pains and a runny nose. When mixed with other medications Cialis can have other, worse side effects, some of which can be life threatening.
